Galvani - Owner, Head Mechanic :

Born and raised in NYC and a student in automotive since high school, I was always fascinated by the engineering marvels coming out of Stuttgart, Munich - Germany. 

I therefore continued my education at the Ohio Diesel Technical college where I joined their BMW program and worked for the local BMW dealership for over ten years. 

The quest for sunshine and warmer climate took me to Los Angeles where I worked as an ASE Certified Technician for Alpine BMW as well as Mercedes for another decade. I then started my own business in Pasadena for yet another decade, during which I had the pleasure and honor to serve many loyal customers. I am now thrilled to expand my business with Workstatt, our new home in Duarte.

Jef - Owner, Service Advisor :

I grew up around Spa, Belgium. Home of Spa-Francorchamps - legendary European circuit.

A place where I spent countless hours watching the most amazing machines and races one young car fan could ever dream of. 

Following that, life eventually took me to California where I opened and ran a food and beverage business for 15 years - while keeping a close connection to the car and racing world. 

Many years spent at the tracks all over California allowed me to learn a whole lot about working on, fixing and setting up my own cars. 

In 2021, after bringing my previous business chapter to a close, I became a ASE certified Repair Shop Service Manager and fully committed to my true passion and dream : the tender love and care of the German cars of Southern California.

Workstatt was born out of our common passion for European cars and we’re happy to call it our new home, where we are focusing on service, repair of those vehicles - older and newer alike.
